Using ApprovalOps

Use is scoped to authorized GitHub App operation

  • GitHub account and repository authorityYou must only install or use ApprovalOps for GitHub accounts, organizations, and repositories where you have the authority to grant access.
  • GitHub App permissionsApprovalOps operates through GitHub App permissions, installation scope, GitHub sign-in, and repository collaborator permission checks.
  • Customer responsibilityYou are responsible for repository content, review decisions, access management, and complying with your own policies and applicable law.
  • No secrets in supportDo not send tokens, private keys, credentials, or secrets to ApprovalOps support. Send only the context needed to diagnose the issue.
Service Boundaries

ApprovalOps is decision support, not an approval authority

  • Human approval authorityApprovalOps does not approve, merge, or replace human code review. The service provides decision-support evidence for human reviewers.
  • Evidence, not certificationApprovalOps summarizes source-linked PR evidence and does not provide legal, security, compliance, or audit certification.
  • No safe-to-merge guaranteeApprovalOps readiness, blocker, and confidence outputs are informational. They are not a guarantee that a pull request is safe, compliant, or ready to merge.
  • Conservative AI signal handlingSupported AI review signals may be classified as evidence. Unsupported or ambiguous AI output may remain source-only or low-confidence.
Plans And Operations

Marketplace access and reliability controls may affect availability

  • Marketplace plansApprovalOps is currently offered through a free GitHub Marketplace plan. Future paid plans, if offered, will be handled through GitHub Marketplace billing and cancellation flows.
  • Cancellation and revocationCancellation, entitlement loss, or GitHub App revocation may stop new publication, command responses, setup actions, or gated product access.
  • Availability and changesApprovalOps may update, suspend, or limit service features to protect security, reliability, GitHub rate limits, or Marketplace compliance.
  • SupportSupport is provided by email for Marketplace setup, access, billing, repository, security, and privacy questions.
Marketplace TermsGitHub Marketplace terms also apply to Marketplace installation and billing.
